We met Jackie’s mom a few months before the wedding and had a great time talking with her. She told us that she and her husband had recently gone to see Lady GaGa in concert in New York, so we knew this was going to be a fun wedding. We didn’t meet Jackie or Jon before the wedding day but we instantly clicked with them when we got there to start filming on June 26. I started at Jackie’s parent’s house for the bridal prep. Jackie greeted me with a big hug and I intstantly thought she was adorable! She was a cheerleader at NC State, so the bridemaids were mostly NC State cheerleaders, and all super sweet. Her dress was absolutely beautiful and one of my favorites. She got ready in her room and there was a lot of cool details to work with and I thought it was sweet because it would be the last time she got ready there as a single woman. Chris went to capture the bridal prep with the guys in downtown Raleigh and had a good time.
The ceremony was at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. It was a bit of a challenge because we had to remain in the balcony and couldn’t mic the groom, which was a first, gotta love Raleigh church rules. So it forced us to be creative and take a different route with this highlight. The reception was at one of my favorite venues, Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. I stepped in the room and my jaw hit the floor! It was incredible! Lyn, with Fresh Affairs outdid himself with this wedding! I didn’t even know where to start filming because it was so beautiful. The rest of the evening went great, we had a lot of fun capturing this wedding! And it’s always great working with Cara and the Southern Soiree team!

Amy + Rod were married July 10. The day started with bridal prep at the Renaissance hotel. We didn’t meet Amy and Rod before the wedding day, which can sometimes be awkward, but when I arrived I instantly loved Amy. She is absolutely adorable and very funny, I felt like i’d known her for a while. She has a wonderful huge personality and is very easy to talk to, which got my day off to a great start. She was extremely easy to film and kept interacting with the camera, which was great! This bridal prep was one of the funnest to film. There was a lot to work with and a lot going on. The hair and makeup team were great! Amy and Rod had a first look before the ceremony at the Carolina Country Club and Amy was so excited. The doors opened and Rod stepped in and the look on his face was priceless! We took a different route with this trailer and think it turned out awesome! We loved working with Cara and the Southern Soiree team, who did a fabulous job planning this wedding, and it’s a blast working with Shane Snider Photography. We are excited about the wedding film, coming soon!

Kristen and Will were married June 19, 2010 at Duke Chapel. The reception followed at Washington Duke Inn.

Will and Kristen met at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. Will graduated from Duke University, Kristen graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Will propsed to Kristen on Christmas Day at the Washington Duke Inn during his senior year at Duke.

Lindsay and Randy were married May 30 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro. We knew we were going to have a great time at this wedding when Lindsay came to our studio for a consultation and cried while watching a demo. She is so sweet and we loved her to pieces immediately. We were thrilled when she wanted to add 8mm film, and we are so in love with their trailer! The wedding day was full of love and happy tears. Lindsay and Randy are amazing! We had a wonderful time filming this wedding alongside the fabulous James & Meridith, of Walters & Walters Photography, it really makes our day fun and enjoyable to work alongside such talented and fun people and we love James & Meridith!
